IOT -Internet Of Thing


IOT which stands for Internet of Things is a very vast and advanced technology which is in developing stage. We have already developed some device with enabled IOT technology and it is soon believe that many new IOT enabled device will be launched in market. It is believed that in near future most of the device will be IOT enabled. In IOT, manufacturing of device is such that all device are going to made with embedded system and these device will connected by wireless technology. Motive behind development of IOT is to expand scope of present date internet to utilise them for our comfort.
At present most of created devices are used in manufactoring industries or in Bussiness.
Some of IOT enablers are :-



Big data, Arificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Deep learning and machine learning

Connectivity layers of IOT are:-
*    Local connectivity,
*    Global connectivity
*     service layer

Baseline Technology that will be using IOT are:-

*      M2M technology (machine to machine):machine will communicate with each other.
*      Cyber Physical system
*      Web of Things(WOT):device connect on web



About 4 million devices are currently connected with IOT but with expansion of IOT more than 20 million device will be connected to internet. All these device should be assign a different IP. At present most of device are using IPV4 for giving unique address to devices connected to internet but as more device will be connected to IOT so differnt address will not possible assign to all of them this is called address crunch.

so addressing is expanded to more than that provided by IPV4 and that lead to evolution of IPV6 which has more capacity of assigning unique address to device. Now IPV4 and IPv6 works hand in hand for address assigning.
All device in IOT are connected to other device through LAN(Local area Network) or WAN(Wide are Network).

*      IOT nodes:Connected to inner devices through LAN and to outer devices through WAN
*      IOT gateway:A router is used to connect LAN to WAN.
*      IOT proxy : application layer between IOT node and other entity.

When a device having IP address moves then its WAN address changes and LAN address remains same because change in LAN address every time on change of its location will create problem in managing device and their IP address.




It is expected if progress in development technology occurs in this way then very soon life of human would be become very easy as most of the work will be done by machine.
